After what seems like an enternity, I finally selected and bought a digital slr. Of course, I've not done a course... so it's all trial and error. These are the first pictures taken from it (admitedly very much touched up with photoshop elements!) And also am using pre-set settings giving depth of field.
Haven't quite learned how to adjust the white balance as yet, but I'm sure it will happen!

Beautiful Sydney
Last weekend for the first time in ages, it wasn't raining. In fact, it was a brillian sunny, almost cloudless day. Took these pictures at Circular Quay while we were waiting for a ferry to take us to the Biennale exhibitions at Cockatoo Island.
Sydney's just brilliant!
Huyen Quang Buddisht Temple, Bankstown
Was doing some archiving on my PC and came across this tv news report when Walter and I were fighting a campaign against Bankstown Council to save a local Buddhist Temple in 1999... I was so young!

Biennale, Cockatoo Island
The Biennale art works that was shown at Cockatoo Island was stunning, challenging and exciting this year.
Chitters: A Wheelbarrow for Richard, 156 Paintings, 156 Signs" by Robert MacPherson really did make you think about these simple signs, the suprising 3D effect challenges the way you see them.

From writer-director Stephane Gauger of one of my favourite movies, The Owl and the Sparrow, comes a new movie about hip hop in Vietnam... Saigon Electric.
Trailer above looks fantastic.
