Lotus Flower



As a buddhist, I appreciate the lotus flower has special significance. And we all know the idea of something beautiful growing out of potentially dirty ugly water.

Recently we were in Macau and got the chance to go to a little local park/garden which had many lotus flowers in bloom. I took these pics that, when I look at it now, just takes my breath away.

  1. Indeed! That's why our Vietnamese people have a beautiful and poetic saying which praises its (Lotus) true beauty, as:

    "Trong DDa^`m gi` ddep ba`ng Sen,
    La' xanh bo^ng tra'ng lai chen nhuy va`ng.
    Nhuy va`ng bo^ng tra'ng la' xanh,
    Ga^`n bu`n ma` cha?ng ho^i tanh mu`i bu`n!"

    Lotus is my favourite flower.
    I always find inner peace & feel relaxing & calm whenever I look at Lotus, that's why I bought 2 beautiful kinds of Lotus & grow them in my back yard.
    I also love Lotus because not only it has amazing features and beautiful scents, it also is the most useful flower & may be the only one flower which possesses all the goodness and great cures for our health, from the roots to the stems, and the leaves to the seeds, & etc.
